Men of Muscle

I like caricaturing the male muscular form. It's an enjoyable exercise to see how far you can exaggerate the muscular features. The first drawing starting from the top left was one I did from a photo reference. The next 4 sketches were copied from other artists, so the design of the character isn't original, but I hope that my own style can be found within the drawing just a little bit. The next sketch of Shazam was referenced from Terry Wolfinger. The bouncer type character is from Mel Milton, followed by one of my favourite Illustrators Peter De Seve and lastly, the boxer was referenced by artist Rod Guen.

The Money Goblin

This sketch was a re-work of an ink drawing I did back in college while I was on placement at the Corporation of the City of Brampton. I was hoping to have a couple of ink version to post as well; I am practicing with a couple of different mediums. With any luck, I will have a couple attempts to post before next week.

My First Un-perfect Post

I've been procrastinating on publishing my first post. The reason is, I am looking for the perfect thing to say. As well, I've been wondering what drawings would be good to show as my first post. After all, the whole reason for starting a Blog is to give myself a vehicle on which to publish my work.

I have challenged myself to at least post a sketch or drawing once a week that I have done. After that, it is open to a number of possibilities as to what may happen because of this endeavour.

It was a very close friend that had to tell me that if you wait for the perfect time, that time will never come,  So to start, I thought I would share 4 sketches done back between 2010 and 2011. Here it is, my first un-perfect post.
